This KMC X8 EPT chain is great for all 8 speed systems. The E-Series was developed with extra safety reserves for E-Bikes, but is also a perfect choice for classic bikes too. High performance 8 speed chain with long lasting life.

EcoProTeQ Anti-Rust technology, KMC's X-Bridge for faster and smoother shifts, extra stretchproof treatment for longer chain life.

EPT Coating

The environmentally friendly EcoProTeQ technology (EPT) from KMC protects chains against corrosion for twice as long as conventional rust protection, setting a new standard. Each component of every chain link is treated separately with EPT. This means a 100% coating that offers the lowest possible attack by water, salt, and air humidity.

Another characteristic of EPT: The very smooth surface gives chains excellent running qualities. Dirt buildup is minimised in the long term, which means that chain maintenance is significantly relieved.
