A clean and simple holder for an Apple AirTag*, the Matrix Saddle Tagger is a smart addition to any bicycle. Built from our lightweight, super durable Composite Matrix material, it neatly and discreetly attaches underneath a bike seat by clamping onto its rails.
Mounting is simple and secure with an IPX7 waterproof-rated twist-lock design held together with an included TR25 security bolt, which also clamps it to the saddle rails. Once mounted, the hidden tagger can be used with Apple’s “FindMy” network to help locate a lost or stolen bicycle. It is also tested and verified to work with the ultra-wideband signal.

I’ve tried other AirTag holders & this one wins because it’s properly designed. A popular alternative, that I’ve got on another bike, has 2 Allen bolt fixings that requites great skill to connect if you don’t turn your bike upside down. This is one simple fixing, using a more obscure tool (so hopefully harder for theives to remove). The holder also securely holds the AirTag safely before you even need to lock it under the saddle - so no risk of dropping it on the floor. FInally, the grade of plasti used seems more robust than the alternatives - I’ve found they they shatter into small pieces with even a small impact on the saddle area. Highly recomemnded.
Second pair I’ve bought, bling at its best
I have used Sprocket & Gear a number of times and always found the site really easy to use with no dead-ends or going round in circles which is common. Most recently I called the office to check on something. The phone was answered quickly and the call handler listened and provided a quick solution which, resulted in in me places another order. All around very good service.
Service was spot.
I had been finding it a challenge to find the Chain Ring I needed, but Sprocket and Gear came up with the goods.

Had some MK1 G forms when they first came to market and they were so comfortable however in big sliding type crashes they’d move and coverage used to be minimal. I’d been using POC air just knee pads for ages however with the advent of tapered trousers and an arthritic knee or two any compression around my knee was making it very uncomfortable to consider wearing anything. Roll on last ride out, two small slow speed dismounts ie crashes rendered my shins in tatters from the Time Speciale 8 pedals and pins and I landed on the one that found me fully on the floor on my arthritic knee to stones…..at which point I thought phew escaped that with no broken knee just bruising and much shin rubbing during the rest of the riding and cursing as I could feel the blood flowing and swelling.
Anyhow with discount code and on sale these were the best long coverage when I’d decided they were something I will wear under tapered trousers on every ride in real MTB terrain. Measured myself and compared it to the manufacturers sizing and I have to say it’s absolutely spot on for size!
It was a minor mission to get them over my size 12 feet and they pull up really high which with the strap I’m confident there will be no movement or migration of the pads in even a huge sliding dismount. The compression level was spot on with no feeling of my kneecap being pressed. The only down side I can foresee is they’re going to run pretty hot however they give really good shin coverage down to 6” sock level so I could probably get away with wearing shorts with them. (Have thinning sun damaged skin on lower legs and previous skin lesion elsewhere so have to cover up plus factor 50)……wear your sunscreen guys and gals!
I haven’t worn them in anger yet but I’m confident days of shredded shins and being overly concerned about a broken knee or two are gone for now. They’re rated for Enduro but not DH to be honest I’ll be wearing them for uplift days probably after starting out in hard shell race face last time on an uplift and second run switching to just the POC knees only. 59 not out…..yet!
Give the gift of cycling with these great gifts and gadgets!
