The BB86 mountain bike standard was designed to integrate bearings into the bottom bracket for weight reduction. This kit works with the standard: it consists of two cups that are pressed into either side of the shell.

There are two versions of this bottom bracket. Both come with CeramicSpeed Bearings installed into cups. The first is our long life, low drag Standard Bearing, with hardened-steel races and our CeramicSpeed super round, super hard balls. The second is our coated bearing, which uses those same CeramicSpeed Balls installed on coated, hardened-steel races for longer life and less bearing drag.

Great upgrade to make tubeless maintenance easier!

Great quality and very pleased with them. The Pro-Lite wheelset look really good and were very easy to set up - transfered cassette from previous wheel, fitted valves, put on tyres, added sealant and pumped up without any issues. Good fit on bike - did not need to reposition disk brake calipers for either wheel nor re-index gears. I like that they have sealed bearings and they rotate much more freely than the wheels they replaced. Bought to upgrade my 2015 Giant Talon 0 wheelset as the standard wheels were not tubeless and took a lot of maintenance to keep them working.
