M-Wave integrated aheadset IS42 / 52C - Suitable for 1.5" to 1 1/8" tapered steerer tubes, featuring sealed cartridge bearings and aluminium construction.

Weighs approx 80g, finished in black including crown race, top cap, washers and star nut (as shown).

Upper Bearing: IS42 - 41.8mm outer / 28.5mm inner diameter
Lower Bearing: IS52 - 52mm outer / 39.8mm inner diameter

Order via Sprocket&Gear was smooth, and headset arrived in good time.
Headset (Integrated) was complete, and fitted well. I note that it doesnt have an additional seal on the lower bearing (which others such as Hope do), so although bearing race itself is well sealed, the gap between the bearing underside and the fork crown race seems a bit unprotected, so time will tell on how long this resists rain and mud. It is however, well under half the price of many others, so all in, not a bad buy.

Tubeless tyre

Great tyre, reasonably easy tubeless fit with a Giant SLR 1 hookless carbon rim, took out valve core and used booster pump, hold air well, and the 32 mm is a comfortable not too big tyre.
